It’s easy to believe the world is heavy, the news often tells us so. Social media and the algorithms feed us an unhealthy diet of fear, distrust, sadness and these days, a bitter division. These days it may seem like you could literally reach out and touch the heaviness. It feels that palpable some days. Do not despair! If you listen through the noise and look past the distractions, you’ll see that every day, quietly and without the headlines, good is happening. A kid shares their lunch with a friend. Strangers pay for the car behind them in a drive-thru line. A complement is paid at the grocery store. Your neighbor brings your trash and recycling bins up from the street. Your dog snuggles against your leg in the afternoon sunlight.

These small acts matter. They add up. They remind us that goodness is not uncommon, it’s just quieter than the noise. Perhaps our job is to be amplifiers, to notice and share it. So here’s me sharing this reminder with you: good is everywhere, if you’re looking.
